Prepare them over the next few days, and speak life and freedom into them on the night! God you’re incredible!

God thanks that you’re raising up young men who desire to band together and stand for each other to fight for freedom. Thanks heaps for the Fight DVD, may it bless more lives. I do pray too for those who are isolated in their struggles that you would send safe people who would walk alongside them. You’re the Lord of the Breakthrough & you’re just so awesome God!

God, you are our strength, i pray for my bro right now who is struggling. i pray that when temptation knocks on the door you would provide a way of escape & that he would clearly see this way and choose it, even if it hurts or means having to crawl to it. i pray that you would surround him with brothers who would band around him and carry him when he is too weak to come. i ask too that you would come to those places in his heart that need your touch where these temptations, habits etc. come from. you’re good God and we thank you. In Jesus our brother, we pray.

Yeah God I agree with that! Would you give bthumper strength today. Also give him wisdom about the time he spends online and when he chooses to do that. God give us all hearts that are more and more after you than after the things of this world! We need your help today!

Bthumper - I don’t know if you’re talking with anyone about your temptations and stuff but yeah it’d be a great idea to get a leader on the journey with you who can talk with you about it and who can encourage you to think through the time you spend online and some ways you can better guard your heart & mind in those moments! i need pray cause im walking through the showdow of valley of death im not scared cause god’s here and he’s holding my breath. but even though iv’e been clean from that sceen for a while im still being tempted and im going through a hard time resisting i almost gave in today but god gave me strength to “fight” (glory to god for that) i’d love if u’d pray that god gives me the power to keep walking away when im tempted. …. its the best iv’e felt in ages

Hi guys, Nick here, I help out with merchandise on Fight Nights. I am always so amazed at the honesty, courage and character of the guys that I get to meet through The Fight.

I have also had a journey with my own struggles of walking away from a life of homosexuality. Some days are good, and some days can be hard. But I really want to encourage any guy struggling with his sexuality to keep his eyes on Jesus. He is our Saviour. He is our Friend. He is our God, and He is our Healer.

Lord Jesus, I ask that you touch us with a willingness and the strength to keep our eyes on you. I pray that you go before us and remove those obstacles from our path that try to hinder us and cause us to stumble. I also pray that you give us a glimpse and a hope of our incredible future in you. May this glimpse and hope give us the tenacity to fight the struggles of our flesh through You. Help us to also forget what is behind us, and strain towards what is ahead for us in You. Nick here. I just want to prayerfully encourage all of us brothers to stand firm in the faith. This weekend I found the struggle really intense and full on! The more that I struggled, the more I wanted to give in to the demands of my flesh. However, when I stilled my heart, I could hear the Spirit of God encouraging me to stand firm and fight the good fight of faith. And when it got really tough, I had to step out of the battle and ask for help, then knowing that I was not battling alone.

Dear Lord, thank you that you are with us in the fight, before the fight and after the fight. Thank you that you never leave us, and never forsake us. Thank you Jesus that in you, we will always have the victory over this world, and the deeds of darkness that comes from this world. Thank you Lord that your loving kindness is both a comfort and strength. Hey guys, i just stumbled across your site cause i just need some kind of help. im a christian and i have a problem with porn. I was exposed to it as a young fella, and ive always had some kind of facination with it, even after i got saved. I love jesus and am so grateful that i can call him LORD, i guess im just lucky that his blood has saved me from my sin cause the way i feel, theres nothing else that could save me….. I sometimes can be really strong and go for months or years without giving in, but lately it feels like the enemy is ramping it up to really get me……im just so weak and i find that i have given in way too easy and ” just had a little look ‘ … in my head a voice says… ” it doesnt hurt anyone, its just a victimless crime…” but when im done looking i feel like i want to just throw myself off a cliff…. its soooooo retarded… it actually makes me feel sick… i dont know why im sooo weak to this sexual sin. Im recently married, and love my wife, but i just cant bring myself to confess to her as i know it will break her heart and damage our relationship…. I just need your prayer, as i dont know if GOd can bear to listen to my shallow apologies…especially since ive been throught this so many times. I really want to beat this, and need to have GOd in my life…. Good on you guys for bringing this out in the open… I think it would help me to just talk to another brother about it but im so ashamed… Do you ever have events in the sunshine coast? I would love to see more of what you are about…. I need to get serious about this porn problem…I need help as i cant go through a whole life with this kind of guilt, shame and temptation…..

Sorry for such a slow reply! Our team have been all over Australia in the last few weeks with several of our FIght Night events and yeah it’s been pretty full on!

Justin I’m going to email you shortly regarding events and resources in QLD that you might find useful! I think some of what you’ve shared in your post is the reality of recognising an addiction. It’s one of the things we don’t ‘get’ about pornography and it’s where so many guys find themselves falling down over and over and over again. We don’t understand the addictiveness of pornography and while we know how to deal with the spiritual component of this struggle, we find ourselves still caught up in addictive behaviours and thought patterns that we can’t seem to break. You’ll find in ‘The Fight’ resource some strategies for dealing with the spiritual and the addiction side of things.

POJ - I hear you when you say that you find yourself most often tempted when you’re bored. We do a day of teaching in The Fight called H.A.L.T.B (weird title I know) but it’s basically about five triggers that when combined can leave us in a place of being more vulnerable to temptation. The five we look at are:
hungry
angry
lonely
tired
and bored

Learning to recognise these feelings and taking practical action to change them in healthy ways as opposed to unhealthy ways is a significant part of the journey for many guys!

But anyway I want to pray for both of you guys now hey! God I lift Justin and POJ before you and ask that you would show them how to deal with the struggle they;re in right now! Give them insight through The Fight resource or some other resource or a leader or counsellor who has experience and insight or simply through their interaction with you so that they can understand and get equipped to deal with what’s at the core of their struggle. Please lead them and teach them and strengthen them and grow them to be more and more the men that you intend them to be.

God, we need your help! We mess up and get life wrong so often! I ask that you’d show yourself to Devine this week. Show him your heart for him. Lead him out of the addiction that he’s acknowledged. Show him little by little, step by step, how to find greater freedom and ultimately more of YOU! Give him patience and a perservering heart on the journey ahead. Thanks God - you’re awesome!
